Longline Logistics is a Sabah-based sea freight forwarder. We ship goods from China direct to Kota Kinabalu, clear customs, store them in our KK warehouse and deliver them across Sabah. Our team has 7–8 years of China–Sabah shipping experience.

How much is storage?

Your first 7 days are free, counted from the day after unloading. Sundays are not counted. After that it is RM5 per m³ per day.

What if my goods are damaged?

What membership levels are there?

There are three levels: Standard, Premium and VVIP. The difference is your shipping rate and how long you have to pay. Higher levels get better rates and longer payment terms. Ask us which level fits you.

Where do you deliver?

Many forwarders say they are not responsible for damage. We are. These terms explain what we cover, how to claim and how we decide.

1What is covered

Physical damage to your goods that happens while they are in Longline’s care: from the moment they are received and checked at the China warehouse we work with, until they are delivered and signed for, or collected from our Kota Kinabalu warehouse.

2How much we compensate

Every claim is assessed on its own facts. Compensation is based on the proven value of the damaged item and how badly it is damaged, and is normally 30% to 40% of that value, up to a maximum of RM1,000 per claim.

To prove the value, please provide the purchase invoice, receipt or payment record for the item.

3How to make a claim

Within 24 hours of delivery or self-collection, send the following in your Longline WhatsApp group:

  • Photos or a short video of the damage, the outer packaging and the label with your member code.
  • Your member code and the delivery order (DO) or collection note (CN) number.
  • Proof of the item’s value.

Please keep the goods and all packaging as they are until we finish the assessment. Do not throw away, repair or resell them. Claims made after 24 hours cannot be accepted.

4How we assess

Our team checks what happened and where, using our warehouse check records and photos from loading and unloading. We may ask to inspect the goods. We reply with the result within 7 working days after we receive complete information.

5How you are paid

Approved compensation is credited to your next Longline invoice or paid by bank transfer, as agreed with you.

6What is not covered

  • Damage or shortages inside a carton whose outer packaging arrived intact and unopened.
  • Fragile items (such as glass, ceramics or screens) that were not packed with proper protection by the supplier.
  • Manufacturing defects, normal wear, and natural changes such as rust, mould or melting; perishable goods.
  • Damage caused by equipment or manpower arranged by the customer.
  • Dangerous, prohibited or incorrectly declared goods.
  • Inspection or handling by customs or other authorities.
  • Events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, fire, war, strikes or government action.
  • Indirect losses, such as loss of profit, business interruption or delays.

7High-value goods

Compensation is capped at RM1,000 per claim. If you are shipping high-value goods, please tell us before they ship so we can advise on packing and protection.

8Other terms

These terms apply together with the terms on our invoices, delivery orders, collection notes and our membership rules. Longline may update these terms; the version on this page applies to new claims. Longline Logistics Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right of final interpretation.
